Chrysler has replaced Town & Country model by Pacifica minivan

The Chrysler Company unveiled Pacifica minivan at the Detroit Auto Show, which is ready to replace Town & Country model. The car, received Chrysler 200 sedan appearance, is built on a new modular platform. Due to lightweight materials the novelty has 1964 kilograms weight and it’s 136 kg lighter than its predecessor. A total saloon capacity is 5663 liters.

The engine range consists of 287-hp six and hybrid power plant. The same engine generating 248 horsepower, electric motor with a maximum 48 km driving distance and a battery set with a 16 kWh capacity presents the powertrain. A fuel consumption of this version is 3.5 liters per hundred kilometers. The minivan is equipped with nine-step automatic.

The list of Chrysler Pacifica other technical elements includes the new Uconnect multimedia system with an 8.4-inch touch screen on the front and 10-inch touch screens for the rear passengers. This model will be offered with six versions of finish as for the hybrid one there will be just two variants.
New Chrysler will be produced in Windsor, Canada. Sales will begin in the US this spring. A hybrid modification will be available in the second half of 2016.
