Chrysler Diablo Concept sold for $ 1.3 million

1956 Chrysler Diablo Concept was sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction for $ 1.3 million. It is interesting that the organizers did not expect to get such a serious reward for this vehicle. This concept is a creation of Chrysler automotive design director Virgil Exner, who was entrusted to work on the development of Chrysler concept cars, since 1954. The experts of famous Italian bodywork studio Ghia also worked at the Chrysler Diablo image.

Under the hood of Chrysler Diablo Concept there is a 6.4-liter 8-cylinder HEMI power unit with four carburetors from the Chrysler 300 is paired with an automatic transmission. The car with the devil name is based on 1955 Chrysler 300 and was put on sale in August 2013.
